Mel Van Howe has more than twenty years of executive experience in providing information technology products and services to the healthcare industry. He has designed, managed and delivered application software, consulting services and outsourcing solutions to hospitals and payers.
Prior to forming The Copperwood Group, Mel led all sales and marketing activities for a major healthcare information technology services supplier. In that capacity, he participated in the design and market launch of technology based solutions including a unique outsourcing solution.
Mel has been involved with designing, marketing and delivering outsourcing solutions in healthcare for more than 12 years. He has experience with multiple outsourcing models and has participated directly in numerous outsourcing transactions worth hundreds of millions of dollars in total contract value.

Hal Fontinelle has thirty-five years of executive, technical, software development, and consulting experience in an information systems environment, thirty of these years in the healthcare industry.
Prior to forming The Copperwood Group, Hal was responsible for outsourcing delivery, performed diligence, deal structure and outsource contract negotiation for a major healthcare information technology services supplier. Hal is a serial entrepreneur and has led or co-founded three technology-based healthcare vendor organizations and was a co-founder and principal of an independent consulting company focused on hospital IS strategic planning, vendor selection, negotiation and implementation.
Hal has been involved in designing, marketing and delivering outsourcing solutions for 8 years. He had direct responsibility for operations at multiple outsourcing client sites. He also led the structuring and negotiation of a $100 million outsourcing transaction for a community health system.
His background also includes service as a corporate Chief Information Officer for several hospitals and hospital organizations. He has contributed to the body of healthcare literature through presentations and publications and served three years as a panel member representing healthcare for an international think tank organization charged with the adaptation and creation of new or emerging technologies.
